Šime Vrsaljko has been seriously injured and will not be able to play for the rest of current season.
The Croatian international was forced to leave the pitch in the very second minute of last game against Sevilla. The first diagnosis pointed out the problems with the ACL in left knee and it was confirmed by his club later on.
Spanish newspaper 'Marca' informs that Vrsaljko will not be able to play for at least six months. The most probable forecast for him is a returning at the beginning of the next campaign.
The 25-year-old joined Atletico in last summer for 18 million Euro from Sassuolo. He managed to be put in the first squad in December as he replaced Juanfran.
