Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is facing a longer break from playing football.
The Bayern and Germany No. 1 fractured his foot during the action that led to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal putting the Spaniards 3-2 ahead in extra-time. The information was confirmed by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The first examination has shown the fracture in his left foot which means he would not be able to play for at least eight weeks. Thus, his current campaign seems to be over.
The 31-year-old will be replaced by Sven Ulreich.
