If David Alaba will join LaLiga, Real Madrid is not his preferred option - 'Diario Gol' claims.
Alaba has been a regular in the Bayern setup since making his debut in 2009.
The Austria international is one of the world's best full-backs and featured on Tuesday night as the Bundesliga giants were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Real president Florentino Perez used the occasion to start negotiations over a summer move.
However, Perez was not encouraged by what he heard. The 70-year-old was told that Alaba has no intentions of leaving the Allianz Arena anytime soon.
But, if he was to leave, he would prefer a move to fierce rivals Barcelona instead. The Catalan giants could also invest in a left-back amid uncertainty over Jordi Alba's future.
