Chelsea have initiated the negotiations on a new deal of Thibaut Courtois.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of renewed interest from Real Madrid, who appear to have lost faith in incumbent Keylor Navas.
However, Chelsea aim to ward off any potential summer speculation surrounding their number one by tying him to a new long-term deal.
The Belgian international’s current deal runs through to 2019 but the Premier League winners are set to offer Courtois improved terms.
The Telegraph reports that those terms would be in the region of £150,000 per week.
