Özil: My priority is to stay

Mesut Özil has spoken about his future at Arsenal.

The departure of the Gunners star from London has been speculating for a long time. German has so far failed to communicate with Arsenal's executives on the renewal of the contract, which expires on June 30, 2018, and has attracted interest from many clubs. What is the latest statement of the 28 year old player?

"I definitely prefer to stay in Arsenal. After returning to London on a tour we will sit down and talk about my future. I have always said that I feel good in Arsenal."

"At this point, however, it is important to prepare for the new season. We have to train, constantly improving the motor side," Özil said.

Recently, Arsenal's other great star, Alexis Sánchez, has been linked more often with other teams, but a group of German's supporters is also wide. There was a lot of information about the interest from Paris Saint-Germain and the clubs from Turkey at the time.

Özil has played in 33 games in the Premier League last season. He scored eight goals in which he added 10 assists.
