Benjamin Henrichs may become a successor of Kyle Walker in Tottenham.
The departure of the English defender from White Hart Lane was confirmed on Friday. After countless speculation about his move to another club, "Spurs" finally agreed on a transfer deal with Manchester City. According to most media, the Etihad club paid £50m for the 27-year-old. However, it cannot be ruled out that the 45 million plus five further in any bonuses will be paid eventually.
Tottenham are looking for a successor and Bleacher Report claim that Henrichs is one of the main candidates, who showed a very good form in the Bayer jersey last season.
During that campaign the 20-year-old has played in 29 Bundesliga matches, in which he recorded two assists. In addition, he added seven performances in the Champions League, where in the group stage he was competing directly against the "Spurs".
It will not be easy to obtain him. Bayer do not want to get rid of their young star, resulting in the signing of a new 20-year-old contract. It is valid until June 30, 2022.
