Jose Mourinho has admitted that Zlatan Ibrahimović may come back to his team during the United States tour of Manchester United.
The experienced striker prematurely terminated the past season due to breaking the cruciate ligaments during a game against Anderlecht in the Europa League in April.
The serious injury of the 35-year-old was to rule him out by the end of the year, but Swede's recovery was better than expected and some media reported that the player could return on the pitch earlier.
José Mourinho does not hide the joy due to this fact, and he would gladly see Ibrahimovic again in Manchester United.
"The doors of our training center and Old Trafford are open for Zlatan to heal and then join us," said the Portuguese manager.
"We did not extend the contract with him immediately, because we wanted to give everyone a quiet time to reflect on what to do next. Ibrahimovic wants to continue playing at the highest world level. He is not happy with the way he finished last season. Although he won his first European career trophy, he did not make it to the finals. Now he is facing another challenge and wants to continue playing in the strongest clubs in the world. If he wants to come back, we will probably wait until December, but that is not a problem. With the rest of us why not wait for such a good player? We talk, exchange comments and now it all depends on what Ibrahimovic will agree with Ed Woodward," added Mourinho.
The experienced striker cannot complain about lack of interest. Recently in the media appeared information connecting the Swede with LA Galaxy.
