Ander Herrera may prolong his current contract with Manchester United soon.
The Spaniard has had one of the most successful seasons since he moved to Old Trafford for £30m in 2014. He also found himself on the lookout of Barcelona, whoo sees a strong alternative in the event of failure in the attempts to bring Marco Verratti.
At Camp Nou he is wanted by Ernesto Valverde, who led him for a year in Athletic Bilbao. The 27-year-old feels good in England, and the media have denied the speculation of a possible transfer. Soon we should get official confirmation.
Herrera is due to sign a new contract, as the current deal expires on June 30, 2018. The new contract is to keep him in the club for the next four years, and at the same time will provide him with a huge raise. The offer for the midfielder is £200,000 a week plus bonuses, making him one of the best-paid players in the team.
