Ultimatum in case of Paulinho

Guangzhou Evergrande have revealed their expectations concerning Paulinho.

Barcelona have been interested in Brazilian for a few weeks, as confirmed by both the club and the player himself. Although the midfielder dreams of moving to Camp Nou and has already agreed terms with the Catalans through his agents, the Chinese have so far refused to negotiate the transaction.

"Sport" reported that the latest bid for a 28-year-old of €25m was rejected. At the same time, the Asians set an ultimatum for Spanish vice-champions, informing them that if they really want to bring the former Tottenham player, they must activate a clause of 40 million euros.

Paulinho's move to Barcelona seems therefore less and less likely as media reported, as "Blaugrana" will not allocate more than 30 million euros to the operation. What is more, the Guangzhou executives intend to accuse the European giant of having an illegal conversation with the player.
