Jetro Willems is leaving PSV Eindhoven.
The Dutch reported on the official website that the Holland international had not participated in today's training and left the team to finalize the transfer. The statement did not give direction.
According to the media, the left defender went to Germany where he will undergo medical tests and then sign a contract with SC Freiburg. The club which was recently joined by Bartosz Kapustka has been seventh in last season and will be fighting for promotion to the Europa League.
Willems went to PSV in 2011 and is one of the better known players in the team. In the past he was linked with Milan, Manchester City or Barcelona. So far, it is difficult to find a potential transfer amount in media, but it should not be too high due to the expiration of the contract on June 30, 2018.
Sparta Rotterdam trainee played in 144 matches in Eredivisie, scored 11 goals and added 28 assists.
