Mourinho: We weren't thinking about bringing Cristiano Ronaldo

Jose Mourinho has spoken about the potential return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United.

The Portuguese's transfer from Real Madrid to United has been speculated a few weeks ago. It was the sound of the CR7 tax scandal, after which the superstar reportedly wanted to change the environment. One of the most likely options seemed to be his return to Old Trafford. How did Mourinho comment upon this case?

"We never thought of such a move because he was a player in a club of enormous economic power. There was not a single reason why we could think he wanted to leave."

"I do not want my club to lose time for the players, which is a mission impossible to achieve," said the Special One.

Recall that Ronaldo performed at MU in 2003-09. At that time, he played in 291 games for the Red Devils, scoring 118 goals and adding 61 assists, winning three championships in England and the Champions League title. Los Blancos, whose colors he represents to this day, paid 94 million euros for him.
