Unai Emery has asked Paris Saint-Germain executives for signing a new midfielder.
The Parisian coach wants to strengthen middle line with Danilo Pereira. So far one of the main goals of French vice-champions was Monaco player Fabinho, but his transfer will be difficult to achieve. At the last meeting between Vadim Vassiliev and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the former told the PSG president they do not want to sell the player to a league rival. This forces the club from the Parc des Princes to continue searching.
"L'Equipe" reported that Emery had suggested to sport director Antero Henrique to look at Danilo Pereira's situation. The Portuguese has a €60 million release clause in the contract, and the contract is valid until mid-2022. Despite this, Henrique is confident of his own abilities and believes that he will be able to bring the midfielder in. Conversations with the players' representatives have already started.
The 25-year-old went to FC Porto in 2015 from Maritimo. So far, he has played in 86 games for the Dragons, scoring ten times and assisting three times.
The player was born in Guinea-Bissau, but decided to represent the colors of Portugal. In 2011 he reached the U-20 squad for the World Cup, and last year he won the European Championship with their senior team.
