'They could have Neymar for €24m,' agent confirms

Bayern have rejected the possibility of bringing Neymar back in 2010.

In retrospect, the Bavarian activists in Munich have regrets. In 2010 the club was able to contract Brazil for 24 million euros but rejected the offer. After a few years Neymar moved to Barcelona for about 57 million euros and recently was the hero of the biggest deal in football history. Paris Saint-Germain has decided to pay €222m for him.

The Croatian agent, Predrag Racki, gave an interview to "Novim Letter", where he talked about the backstage of the negotiations with the Monachees.

"It was the January transfer window in 2010, when Danny Budimar of Golden Goal Sports & Marketing contacted Wagner Ribeiro, Neymar's agent."

"At the same time, with the help of my friend Giovanni Trapattoni, I contacted Bayern sport director Christian Nerlinger."

"Neymar was only seventeen, but one could see that he was a class footballer with great technique and skill ... He was only much thinner than today."

"I met Nerlinger in Munich after two phone calls. He told me that they are aware of who Neymar is, because it is one of the greatest talents in the world, but the price of 18 million euros, which could have risen to 24 million, was too high for them."

"Nerlinger said he was going to follow his progress, but they would not give that much money for a player who is not even eighteen," Racki said.
