Bruno Martins Indi has become a new player of Stoke.
The central defender from the beginning of summer was linked with moving to the British Isles. The club was satisfied with his previous season when he was on the Bet365 Stadium for an annual loan.
However, Crystal Palace wanted to thwart league rivals' plans, whose manager is recently Frank De Boer. The Dutchman hoped that he would persuade his compatriot to transfer, but ultimately failed. In exchange, he temporarily brought Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United.
Indi today signed a five-year contract. The Englishmen paid for him - as they said in the statement - seven million pounds. Exactly the same amount for which FC Porto bought him in 2014 from Feyenoord, after the successful performances of the player in the Brazilian World Cup.
