El Mundo Deportivo says Real and Barca currently have scouts watching the Eredivisie to focus on De Ligt this season.
At just 18-years-old he has already been called up to the Holland international senior team.
Barcelona and Ajax have an excellent relationship in terms of youth player development. And Barca have already asked about the youngster, having been alerted to the youngster by scouts watching Davinson Sanchez.
