Isco assured that he would like to play in Real Madrid for many years to come.
Last season, the offensive midfielder had to share minutes with James Rodríguez and often the media conspired on his possible departure from the Spanish capital. In the end, Isco was not moving anywhere, and the surroundings were changed by the Colombian, who became the new Bayern Munich player.
A few weeks ago, there was information about a new Isco's contract that should soon be signed. The present one is valid until the end of June 2018. The new 25-year-old's contract will be valid until 2021 and will include a €700 million clause.
"I would like to stay in Madrid for a very long time, many years.
"It was always crucial for me to be successful in Madrid, even when I was not playing as much as I expected.
"I remained relentless and did not give up, so I am in the place where I am. I feel very important in the team, which gives me comfort. Now I would like to continue this, both in Madrid and in Spain," Isco said.
