Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara’s return from a knee injury has been further delayed after he underwent further surgery.
The 24-year-old sustained the knock on his right knee six months ago in a La Liga clash with Granada but now the Blaugrana have confirmed he has undergone surgery again.
“The first team player Rafinha underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Sunday on his right knee,” read a Barca statement, who did not set a date on his expected return to fitness.
“He underwent similar surgery on the internal meniscus of his right knee on April 7 this year.”
Rafinha has played 78 times for the Catalan giants but was linked with a move away from the club this summer with Milan and Arsenal among the clubs linked to the midfielder.
