Extremely active during the summer transfer window Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Tim Krul from Newcastle.
The Dutch goalkeeper moved from one Premier League team to another on an annual loan basis.
This is another temporary transfer in the 29-year-old's career. In the spring round of last season he stayed in his native AZ, for which he played a total of 18 meetings in Eredivisie. He kept a clean sheet in them three times. Earlier, Newcastle had also loaned him to Ajax.
As for his performances in the colors of Magpies, eight-time Holland international has 185 of them on his account. Until the unlucky season 2015/16 and breaking the cruciate ligaments, he regularly played in the Premier League.
"I know Tim from my time at Newcastle. He is a great professional with international experience. He played a number of games in English Premier League and European cups. I am convinced that he will help us," said Brighton manager Chris Hughton.
This is the twelfth summer transfer of Seagulls. The biggest money - 15 million euros - they spent on José Izquierdo.
