OFFICIAL: The third biggest transfer in MLS history

Toronto is signing Alejandro Pozuelo from Belgian outfit Racing Genk.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is the third biggest income transfer in Major League Soccer history. Only Gonzalo Martínez and Ezequiel Barco were most expensive, both bought by Atlanta United, current MLS champion.
For Genk it is also a big sale, but only the fourth largest in their history. They earned more from following sales: Leon Bailey (Bayer Leverkusen), Wilfred Ndidim (Leicester City) and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (record holder, Lazio paid 18 million euros for him).
Pozuelo in Belgium has appeared in 176 games, scoring 25 goals and assisting 60 times.
Genk acquired him on a free transfer in the summer of 2015. Earlier, the Spaniard played for Rayo Vallecano, Swansea and Betis.
Pozuelo will fly to Toronto only on March 18, just after the end of the first part of the season in Belgium.
Toronto has had a large need to bring an offensive player after Giovinco left for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
